In recent months we were working on the new EU REACH II, REACH III and CLP regulation in order to meet legal requirements. Despite the new regulation for professional and industrial use is effective by 01.01.2024, still in some export countries the official governmental control is using the date of 01.01.2023 as official effective date mixing up decorative, do-it-yourself with industrial use. Therefore, and still far ahead of legal requirement schedule, we will implement the new labels as well the UFI code certification from 01.01.2023 for all our products.
What does it mean and what is new on the label?
All product labels will have in future these information’s printed:
- VOC content g/l
- UN Number
- UFI Code per product, which can be find as well on all MSDS
- QR code for homepage, QR General Terms and Conditions for sale, QR code for DII-regulation
- Recycling code number for easy waste system
- Generally multilingual label in DE/EN/PL/SI/LT/HR
- Updated Hazardous symbols
What does the UFI Number mean to the usage?
The UFI (Unique Formula Identifier) is a coding system implemented by the EU-ECHA Agency, supported by the European poison Centers for all hazardous and non-hazardous mixtures. This is a replacement of the old poison notification Centers, based in each country.
We have already uploaded all our products and files to the system, and we have an active status in all represented countries. Therefore, your customers can call any poison Center within the EU mentioning the UFI code of the product and will get immediate help as all the relevant data is available to any of those decentral offices.
DII (EU)2020/1149 Regulation
On all Hardeners, containing Isocyanate such as ZH62, ZH66 etc. will be one additional QR code, which is linked directly to our homepage showing the way how to obtain a professional training for the usage of Isocyanate containing products. This is from 01.01.2023 obligatory for all EU countries.
