The city of Tczew in German (Dirschau) is not only a historic place, it is also hometown to CREBONIT´s biggest factory within Europe. In cooperation with the municipality of the city of Tczew the project for the renovation of the historic steel rivet bridge, located in the heart of Tczew, close by to the central train station, was developed.
The project and its operational view, were discussed for more than 1,5 years as the closure of the bridge is not possible due to its unique position within the city transport but finally on September 4th the work started with our innovative Duplex Acrylate 1K System for classical steel renovation.
The bridge will be cleaned partially manually and partially by mechanic blasting, following by an 1 component Acrylate co-polymer primer and finesed with an 1 component Acrylate co-polymer topcoat, providing top noch corrosion protection in this difficult and harsh environment.
It is important to note, that CREBONIT´s commitment to the city of Tczew is also shown as we do the technical support and supervision free of charge and supply the coatings on the cost of material for the good of all citizens.
