Everybody who has a photovoltaic system on the roof, in the garden or on its business premises knows the problem of dirt on the panels, leading to reduced efficiency and costly cleaning actions by external professionals. Looking on the aspect of eco- and cost efficiency every photovoltaic system degrades, especially in areas with limited sun through dirt by up to 30 %, which marks a significant number.

Approached by our business partners and affiliates to technically evaluate a dedicated clear protection coating, offering the “Easy-to-Clean” and “Self-Cleaning” properties, CREBONIT has taken the task and developed a fully new Polysiloxane NanoTech micro coating. The coating is applied with a DFT of 1,5 – 3,0 µm on the surface, dries by itself in regular temperatures from +5°C up to 45°C and is fully heat resistant for up to 450°C without cracking, yellowing or loosing its exceptional properties.

As the efficiency is increased, it extends the lifetime of every solar panel protected by XB22 by up to 5 years. The product is eco friendly and doesn’t create any micro plastic once removed.

Besides the application method on photovoltaic panels, CREBOCRYL XB22 can be used for normal glass facades, which reduces the cleaning efforts through its NanoTech formulation and reduces the cleaning effort to zero.
